Overview
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an open-world role-playing game from CD Projekt Red, based on the novels of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. You play Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter searching for his adopted daughter in a continent torn apart by war.
01
The Game
The game's reputation rests on its writing. Even small contracts tend to turn into morally complicated stories, and the world is rooted in Slavic folklore in a way that felt fresh to an international audience. Two substantial expansions extend it further.
02
Gameplay
You travel on foot, by horse or by boat across large regions, investigating with your witcher senses, preparing potions and oils, and fighting with swords and signs. Quests frequently branch, with consequences that surface much later.
03
Multiplayer
The Witcher 3 is a single-player game. Its standalone card game, Gwent, began as a minigame inside it.
