About the studio
Remedy Entertainment was founded in 1995 by members of the Finnish demoscene. Its breakthrough came with Max Payne in 2001, a cinematic shooter that popularised slow-motion 'bullet time' in games.
Since then Remedy has developed a distinctive style of story-driven action, linking Alan Wake and Control in a shared universe. It is headquartered in Espoo, near Helsinki.
